Hello!
You are looking at a listing containing SIX Louet Sales Gems Opal yarns. All have been pre-caked for immediate use. All are 100% merino wool. It is machine-washable. Machine dry 15 min, lay flat to finish, or you can just hand-wash your finished objects in cool water by soaking for fifteen with wool wash and rinsing- whichever is easier! This yarn is dyed and sourced at 22 micron fibers from South Africa. It is "worsted spun" which means all fibers have been combed, short fibers removed, and remaining fibers aligned and spun. Gems yarn uses merino fibers with a 3.6"/90-mm minimum staple (fiber) length. Louet says that it has excellent stitch definition and is amazing for cables and ribbing on sweaters.

I apologize fot the fact that the photos are slightly paler than the colors of the yarn actually are!
Red skein- 109g, 14 wpi/ fingering weight yarn. The label for this one says "burgundy, 225 yds/skein, sport-weight", US-3-5 needles/3.5-3.75mm, 2/Fine, however.
Terra-cotta skein- 73g, 14 wpi/ fingering weight yarn. Missing 27g.
Blue skein- 92g, 14 wpi/fingering weight yarn. Missing 8g, but the red yarn has that extra in red so it mostly balances out.
Three purple skeins- There are three purple cakes of Louet Gems yarn, but PLEASE take note- one is a light grey-lavender, another is a light orchid, and the third is a dusky grey-damson color. They are not the same dye lot whatsoever. I will refer to them as light, medium, and dark purple respectively.
Light purple- 97g. Missing 3g.
Medium purple weighs 100g and comes with a label saying it's sport weight, 225 yds/skein, US 3-5 needles/ 3.5-3.75mm; Gems Opal.
Dark purple yarn cake weighs 102g.

Total, you are receiving a whopping 573g of yarn! That is at least 675 yards in the red and two of the purple yarns, and the rest of the yardage between the terra-cotta, blue, and very close to 225 yards for the 97-g purple yarn. Given that the average pair of socks weighs 30-40g, you can readily enjoy several pairs of socks or other knitted design such as shawls and color-work with this "gem" of a destash lot! The price I'm asking reflects the deduction of the partial cakes of yarn.
This lot has the equivalent of 5.5 full skeins' worth of grams/yardage. You are receiving at minimum 1,237.5 yards, plus 12g worth of yardage which I did not count. Six full skeins new is 1,350 yards/600g. There is less than 112.5 yards 'missing' from having the equivalent of six full skeins. The value of this lot is $85.25. I have marked it down to sell it.
Thank you for looking, and enjoy your day/evening!
