This is great for costumes. If you have a costume box, or if you are into cosplay, this is a great fabric. Although I have to admit, part of me wants to make it up into a very refined, sophisticated blouse and wear it somewhere conservative. That's my version of being rebellious. :) The scales are iridescent green, blue, and purple on a black knit background. The knit is probably nylon-spandex and the scales feel smooth and plastic.
