This taupe twill woven has a gorgeous heavy fluid drape, wonderful for women's suiting. The drape would really show off in wide leg trousers, A-line skirts, dresses, even a fluid trench coat. It would also work well for blazers or straight skirts. This is a bottom weight fabric.
Edit 6/8/22: This fabric is on the lighter side of bottom weight fabrics. I think of it as dress weight: the perfect weight for a dress, lightweight trousers, or a lightweight jacket. Perfect for summer both in weight and color.
This fabric is triacetate, made of cellulose (like rayon or bamboo), so it has the breathability of natural fibers. Triacetate is an improved version of acetate: it's more durable, more heat resistant, and easier to take care of than acetate.
Most manufacturers recommend dry-cleaning triacetate because it gets weaker in water and may change the hand. But if you hate dry-cleaning as much as I do, I'd test a piece of this fabric on a cool, gentle cycle in the washing machine and see how it turns out. Hand washing would be even better.
Sold by the half yard. If you order a quantity of 3, you'll get 1.5 yards.
