This taupe twill woven has a gorgeous heavy fluid drape, wonderful for women's suiting. The drape would really show off in wide leg trousers, A-line skirts, dresses, even a fluid trench coat. It would also work well for blazers or straight skirts. This is a bottom weight fabric.
This fabric is triacetate, made of cellulose (like rayon or bamboo), so it has the breathability of natural fibers. Triacetate is an improved version of acetate: it's more durable, more heat resistant, and easier to take care of than acetate.
This suiting is light enough in color that it could be dyed a variety of darker colors if desired. (I haven't tried this, so test first.) Most manufacturers recommend dry-cleaning triacetate because it gets weaker in water and may change the hand. But if you hate dry-cleaning as much as I do, I'd test a piece of this fabric on a cool, gentle cycle in the washing machine and see how it turns out. Hand washing would be even better.
Sold by the half yard. If you order a quantity of 3, you'll get 1.5 yards.
