Hello everyone!
You are looking at a listing for six skeins of Ramie, a 70% ramie, 30% wool blend by the Italian company Anthea. Each skein is 50g or approximately 137 yards. The hue is a warm, morning-dove grey-beige ("greige"). Ramie fiber is derived from nettle plants, and thus this yarn is lustrous, comfortable, and lightweight. Unlike linen, ramie fiber is up to eight times more durable, and is stronger than linen- not to mention used in human history for five thousand years before linen's usage. I have striven to take pictures of this yarn in both warm and cloudy-weather-afternoon light.
Ramie yarn can brag: it is great at resisting heat and washing, dries easily and quickly, resists mildew, and has great moisture absorbency.
Weight: DK, 11 WPI
Approx: 136-137 yards (124 meters)
Unit weight: 50 grams (1.76 ounces) per skein
Gauge: 22.0 sts = 4 inches
All skeins are the color 270. One skein is missing its label. Lot number is 812 on some skeins, but the ink is faded. All skeins appear the same lot number, so color discrepancies definitely should not be an issue. This is certainly enough yarn to make a camisole, tank top, adorable summer carry bag, etc.
Please note: As this is a vintage yarn, it has a slight "older, stored" smell which will wash out. You can choose to loop your yarn around a clothes hanger and give the yarn a gentle rinse with wool wash, or knit as is then wash your finished object, which will also serve to soften it. From a dog-free, smoke-free home, and stored away from my cat.
Thank you for looking and enjoy your day!
