100% cotton sweater knit 

It absolutely reads as RED, but it is tomato red rather than fire engine red.  (Not a great color for me, I've learned!)

Can't remember the online source for this, but the quality is beautiful.  I purchased it in another colorway and made a wonderful True Bias Marlo cardigan from it.
